The first thing to do is to make sure you have all your insurance information to expedite payment and service. Be sure to also gather your healthcare information to aid the doctor during your visit. Next call us at (209) 545-3937 and schedule an appointment. We will be sure to call you the day before your visit to remind you and confirm and likewise we would appreciate at least 48 hours notice before cancelling an appointment.
Comprehensive Eye Exam. A complete checkup of your eye health using the latest technology. You will be checked for cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal problems. A refraction will be done objectively and subjectively and your vision will be checked at different distances so you will see clearly at far distance as well as for reading and computer work.
Macular degeneration screening is also available upon request.
Contact Lens. We specialize in the "hard-to-fit" people who couldn't wear contacts before, astigmatism, keratokonus, bifocals, gas-permeable hard lenses, custom toric soft lenses, as well as specialty contacts for sports, cosmetic and theatrical tinted lenses. New wearers welcome! Our staff will work with you until you are comfortable inserting and removing your lenses. You will be amazed and wonder why you didn't try contacts sooner!
Medical Office Visits (Emergencies). Is there something in my eye? Did I scratch my eye? Do I have "pink eye"? Why is my eye red? Often it is quicker and less expensive to see us than going to the emergency room. Our doctor can see you and determine what your red eye problem is. If it is "pink eye" (bacterial conjunctivitis), antibiotics will be prescribed. If there is a foreign object stuck in your eye, we can often take it out. If the problem is serious, we will refer you to the appropriate specialist. Be sure to tell the appointment staff person that you need an appointment right away for a red eye problem.
Low Vision Aids. We can fit low vision aids. Low vision aids can be very helpful to people who have poor vision due to macular degeneration or other eye diseases. These aids may enable the person to read again. Other low vision devices enable people to drive again, depending on how much usable vision the person has.
LASIK: Pre-op testing and post-op services. We are proud to refer and partner with the best LASIK surgeons in the area. Feel free to ask our doctors if LASIK is right for you!
